Grade 5: Classes are conducted according a timetable in all subjects except ethics and religion in a classroom.
Grade 6: Since 2004, students have already become familiar with a second foreign language(french). If your marks are good you can transfer to a Gymnasium at the end of this grade after your parents make an application for it.
Grade 7: Now, a specialising begins in the seventh grade. A school meeting shall determine whether the teaching will take place in an additional or integrated form.
Grade 8: Additional form currently in grade 7,8 and 9
Grade 9: More learning in a school union to improve the skills in the specialising part. (Starting grade 7 in Mathematics and Englisch, elective subject in starting grade 9 in German and Physics. The classes will take place in their own classes, which prepares for Haupt and Realschule diploma. A separate class will only be made for the elective classes social studies and french. Changing classes and courses are possible until grade 8. The students of Regelschule get their Hauptschule Diploma after successfully completing the grade 9. If the grades are enough they can take the Realschule course after completing Hauptschule.
Grade 10: After successfully completing the grade 10 and passing the exam, the students will get the Realschule Diploma.
After that: Most of the students go to voccational colleges. If the performances are enough a transfer to Gymnasium is also possible.
