Students can choose from a variety of different housing types, locations, and prices. When considering off-campus options, students should keep the following information in mind: Off-campus student apartments function like a private dormitory and generally have easy access to the Georgia Tech campus. Students will be responsible for paying the rent for their bedrooms only. These apartments are always furnished and include utilities. Students will have a private bedroom but may share a bathroom, kitchen, and common area with 1-3 roommates, depending on the property and available apartments. Off-campus traditional apartments are located throughout the city. The communities closest to Georgia Tech are Midtown and Buckhead. Traditional apartments are almost always unfurnished and the student will be responsible for paying the rent for the entire apartment as well as all utilities.
