커리큘럼 : 이 코스에서 학생은 placement test에 기반한 본인의 실력에 따라 레벨이 나눠집니다. 각자 속한 반에서 학생은 언어 실력을 발전시키게 됩니다. 해당 과정의 목표는 학생이 중급 수준의 독일어 실력을 키워 토론에 성공적으로 참여하고 자신의 생각과 주장을 글로 풀어낼 수 있도록 하는 것입니다. 이 코스는 DSH 코스 준비와 preparatory college에서의 입학 시험 또한 준비합니다.1.1 and C1.2. Course offers "Preparation for the DSH" in the summer semester 2023: The following course formats will be offered again in the 2023 summer semester: Face-to-face courses - only with application via uni-assist Intensive course to prepare for the DSH exam Face-to-face courses: The face-to-face lessons take place daily in the mornings in the rooms of the Neue Mensa, Campus Bockenheim.
Intensive course to prepare for the DSH exam: This course is planned as a face-to-face course from April 26th, 2023 - June 2nd, 2023 on the Bockenheim campus .
Online courses: No online courses will be offered in the summer semester 2023! The next DSH online courses will probably not take place again until the 2023/24 winter semester. The first online course is scheduled to start on August 14, 2023. You can register for this course online from July 1, 2023.
The course contents are reading comprehension, listening comprehension, text production, scientific language structures, oral communication. You will also receive information and orientation in a tutorial. In addition, you have the opportunity to take part in a voluntary and free additional offer (currently financial mathematics for economics, law introductory course for law and economics).
The preparatory course is offered with 20 hours per week. The additional offers also include 3 to 4 hours per week. The course materials will be made available to you.
Class times are usually Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The times given are approximate. The exact course times only result from the composition of the course.
You would like to apply for a place at Goethe University, but you still need the DSH certificate as proof of your language ability to study. With a certificate/report DSH-1, TestDaF 14, C1 you can prepare specifically for the next DSH exam. The International Study Center/DSH offers an intensive course followed by the DSH. The number of places is limited. |

Whether you are admitted to a German Studienkolleg or not depends on your previous education. In order to attend a Studienkolleg, you must have a higher education entrance qualification from your home country or any other country that is not part of the EU treaty system. In addition, for some countries further years of study at a university are required.
After the application procedure you will be informed about how your school leaving certificate is evaluated in Germany. Depending on this evaluation, you will either be able to directly start studying at a university, or you will need to first take a 1-year specialised course at a Studienkolleg for taking the university assessment test (Feststellungsprüfung).
Since there are more applicants than places available at the Studienkolleg, the available places are awarded via ranking in an entrance exam which tests you in German language. If you are ranked high enough you will be admitted to a one-year specialised course at the Studienkolleg. This course will prepare you well for the demands of a course of studies in Germany. The Studienkolleg Frankfurt offers the following specialised courses as preparation for studying:
M-course: for medical, biological and pharmaceutical degrees T-course: for mathematical, science or technical degrees W-course: for business, economics and social science degrees G-course: for degrees in the humanities. The university assessment test (Feststellungsprüfung) can be taken two times a year. Each specific course has 4 to 5 subjects:
G-Kurs: German/ History/ German Literature / Soziology or Geography M-Kurs: German/ Mathematics / Biology / Chemistry / Physics T-Kurs: German/ Mathematics / Informatics/ Chemistry / Physics W-Kurs: German/ Mathematics / Economics / Soziology or Geography
You can only attend the preparatory college or the courses of the International Study Center if you are at the Goethe University or the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences (FRA-UAS) or the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach, the Hochschule St. Georgen or the Lutherische want to study Theological University in Oberursel. After the consultation with the International Office of your university or college and the assessment of your certificates, you will know

For the Goethe University:
The application deadline for the external assessment test for the winter semester is July 15th. and for the summer semester 15.01.
For the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences:
Admission to the winter semester in the Studienkolleg: May 1st Admission to the summer semester in the Studienkolleg: November 15th
Fees are payable for the assessment test.
1. Examination fee for preparatory students (internal examination)
The fee is € 100. It is regulated in § 9 paragraph 2 of the administrative regulation of the Hessian Ministry of Science and Art dated April 25th, 2016.
2. Examination fee for the external examination
The fee is €500 for the entire external examination and €100 for the supplementary examination. These fees are regulated in Section 9, Paragraph 2 of the administrative regulation of the Hessian Ministry of Science and Art dated April 25, 2016, and in Section 27, Paragraph 1 of the regulations of the FSP .
You will only be admitted to the Studienkolleg after an application process. The application process at Goethe University is explained here . You can find out here how you can be transferred to the Studienkolleg from another university in the Frankfurt area . If you have applied by the deadline, you will receive a written invitation to take the entrance test.
Admission to the specialization courses to prepare for the FSP takes place after passing an admission test . The dates of the next admission tests can be found here .
Applicants who are taking part in a course to prepare for the FSP must provide evidence of their German language skills with the B1 certificate of the Common European Framework of Reference. The better the knowledge of German, the better the conditions for admission. Experience has shown that you have to have at least level B2 to have a realistic chance. What kind of test is it?
The entrance test consists of an electronic C-Test ( online example of a C-Test ), which you take personally on site.
The entrance test will determine whether you have sufficient knowledge of German to be able to follow the courses in the core courses. The people who are accepted into the ISZ are selected selectively and competitively. This means that those people are accepted who do best in the entrance test for their course type. If the number of participants exceeds the number of places available on the course, the places will be allocated in the order of the total number of points achieved in the entrance test.
If someone does not take part in the entrance test or does not pass it, the acceptance from the university automatically expires. It is possible to apply to the university again and take the entrance test again. The entrance test can only be repeated twice, at the earliest after the end of a semester.
If you have already been admitted to another preparatory college or have even taken an assessment test before, you may no longer be admitted to the preparatory college in Frankfurt.
Exemption from the entrance test
You cannot be exempted from taking the entrance test, even if you have already passed level DSH 2 or similar tests!
Preparation for the test
It is often asked how best to prepare for the entrance test: The best preparation is to attend language courses that improve your general language skills. The test examines global competencies such as text comprehension and understanding textual connections, but the most reliable command of grammar rules and orthography is also necessary in order to achieve a good result.
