The Max-Steenbeck-Gymnasium Cottbus is a school with extended education in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology (MINT). It has existed since 1989 and was initially located in the Sandow district in the north-west of Cottbus. The school is currently located near the Brandenburg Technical University, at Universitätsstrasse 18.
Our greatest successes include many bronze, silver and gold medals at the international physics, chemistry, biology and computer science Olympiads, many prizes at the state and Federal Olympiads, successes in the "Jugend forscht" competition and much more. We are one of the most successful schools in the state of Brandenburg. Technical and creative contacts are maintained with the other special high schools, in particular with the Carl-Friedrich-Gauß-Gymnasium Frankfurt/Oder. The Max-Steenbeck-Gymnasium was actively involved in the Bertelsmann Foundation's "CFILM" learning network , which examined the promotion of talented students interested in mathematics, science and technology. |
