기숙사 방마다 생활에 필요한 가구가 비치되어 있지만 학생들은 직접 가구를 가져오거나 졸업생들로부터 물려받을 수 있습니다. 학생들은 10학년까지 2인용 방에서 지내지만 그 후에는 1인용 침실로 옮길 수 있습니다. 5-7학년 학생들은 "하우스 알바트로스"라고 불리는 한 건물에 살게 됩니다. 학생들은 매일 아침식사 시간과 수업 시간 사이에 방을 청소하며 수요일과 토요일 6교시 시간에 학생들은 방을 철저히 청소합니다. 방에 누군가를 초대하고 싶다면 꼭 허가를 받아야 합니다. 모든 학생들은 자전거가 필수적으로 있어야 하며 자신의 자전거에 이상이 없는지 정기적으로 점검을 해야 합니다.

Almost one hundred students live in the boarding school of the Hermann Lietz School. So that they don't get lost in the big group, five to seven of them form a family group with a teacher, their partner and their own children. The families should be as good a mix as possible - of younger and older students, boys and girls. This structure gives the boarding school students a feeling of security, a feeling of togetherness and orientation. The teacher-parents or family group parents have an open ear for worries and can thus deal with problems and conflicts at an early stage. And a family report is sent to parents twice a year .
